Job Description:
Serves as support to The REC, Active Adults, athletics, aquatics, outdoor recreation classes/camps, Lake Parks and/or special events.

- Attends to the daily operation of facilities and programs including opening and closing duties and directs RCA I when necessary; assists with various recreation programs, leagues and special events.
- Assists with program and event set up, tear down and implementation including working both inside and outside in various locations and conditions.
- Provides excellent customer service by responding to customers' questions and needs.
- Performs and oversees the general maintenance and housekeeping duties in Parks and Recreation Department facilities and/or Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District facilities.
When assigned to Outdoor Summer Camp Counselor:
- Supervision of daily operations and implementations of seasonal day camp to ensure needs & interests of participants are met in a safe & quality manner.
- Oversee implementation of recreational programs and activities for children K-5th grades.
- Give direction to staff to accomplish daily camp activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED and 18 years of age or 2 years full-time equivalent experience as a RCA I or Instructor required.
- Ability to use a calculator/demonstrate proper cash handling procedures.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills and be able to deal effectively with the public.

- Must pass Federal/National background check and have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
